The IRC Network itself is officially up with services and everything running smoothly! Feel free to mention it to your friends, make your own channel if you wish and get them to come chat sometime. We also have another server connected as well to hopefully maintain the network during any downtime and to balance the server load so we keep everything nice and speedy.
The two addresses for accessing the IRC Network or Internet Relay Chat Network are: irc.entirelyrandom.net port 6667 spam.entirelyrandom.net port 6667 I have also setup a java client on the server so that you can join even when you do not have a client and thats avaliable at http://chat.entirelyrandom.net but I would recommend getting mIRC or IceChat if you intend to visit us on a regular basis. If you are having any problems please send me a private message.
For any users who aren't familiar with them now we have several staff members and their roles are outlined below:
Kiwi - Founder, Network Admin, Site Admin and Server Admin of irc.entirelyrandom.net Matt - Network Admin and Server Admin of spam.entirelyrandom.net Will - Network Admin and Server Co-admin of irc.entirelyrandom.net Raeith - Network Admin and Server Co-admin of irc.entirelyrandom.net Pete - Services Administrator on irc.entirelyrandom.net Kardie - Global IRC Operator on spam.entirelyrandom.net For the moment we don't need any new operators but the time may come when that changes so keep an eye out. If you move your channel here from another network and bring more than 20 people to the network you will be made a local operator at the very least. Use /MOTD when on the server to check any rules and messages that you may need to see while on the network.
